The municipality of Rissa is offering a special price for the three bygdebøker written by Terje Bratberg -- pay for two and get all three. Here is the announcement på norsk. I own all three and they offer a rich body of information about 12 of the municipality's farms and the people who have lived there: (Vol. 2: Langsæter, Dørndal, Sund; Vol. 3: Strømmen, Årnset, Bustad; Vol. 4: Føll, Gryta, Solem, Garmo, Foss, Melhus). The three can be purchased for NOK 960, vs. the individual price of NOK 320. Vol. 1 by Astrid Marit Bjørkvik, which covers the farms in Hasselvika, is also available for NOK 150.
Audun Dybdahl's two-volume Rissa history is also available. It does not have individual farm histories with genealogical data, but is nevertheless an invaluable and fascinating pair of books. Vol. 1 covers from the oldest times to 1814 and Vol. 2 covers the period from 1814-1940. Individual volumes are NOK 300 and the pair for NOK 450.

Bygdebøker for Stadsbygd can be purchased from Stadsbygd Sparebank (savings bank). The address is simply 7105 Stadsbygd. They can be had for NOK 300 each or NOK 450 for the set of four. If you'd like to know which farms are in which book, please write to me. The last time I asked (ca. 2003), Vol. 1 was sold out. I have one complete set in which Vol. 1 is worn out, and one set of Vol. 2-4. So it's good news that complete sets are available.
I probably do not need to add this, but all of these books are in the Norwegian language.
Lastly, I would love to purchase the Ingdalsboka, so if anyone knows of a source, I would be very grateful! --Dennis
