The staff and programs of the UCLA Center for Communication Policy have joined the Annenberg School for Communication at USC. The combined Center for the Digital Future has a new web site, digitalcenter.org. It has a new report, The Digital Future Report, Year Four: Surveying the Digital Future, that contains a rich variety of data, among which:
Television viewing continues to decline among Internet users. ¶ The biggest gap in use of various media among Internet users and non-users continues to be the amount of time they watch television. In Year Four of the study, Internet users watch about 4.6 hours of television less per week than non-users – compared to 4.8 hours the previous year. ¶ More than twice as many of the very experienced users compared to new users say that they spend less time watching television since using the Internet. The earlier reports from 2000, 2001 and 2003 are also available.
ClickZ has a story on the fourth year report along with some data highlights. --Dennis
Very interesting and will be able to use some of your data in my doctoral dissertation upon your approval. Could I possibly submit my questionnaire to you (or your team) to refine my D-variables and I-variables. I plan to construct the questionnaire within the next year or so. Thanking you and once again very good research. Claude
