Congratulations to Boston's WGBH for the first public radio "podcast" RSS feed of its "Morning Stories" series. To "podcast," one needs to add an MP3 enclosure to your RSS feed. Users download software (Windows, Mac, Linux, PocketPC) at iPodder.org that periodically checks for new feeds at RSS sites you've selected, downloads the MP3 file to your MP3 device. A Seattle commercial AM station, KOMO 1000, is feeding each news story.
These feeds (directory) can also be used in a standard news reader (like Bloglines, which I use). I actually find this more useful because I can get descriptive information and decide if I want to download the MP3 rather than having my hard drive fill up with files to which I may or may not want to listen. Feeds mentioned: WGBH|KOMO.
Here is Adam Curry's story on this. --Dennis
