Norwegian alternative browser developer Opera Software today announced the launch of their voice-enabled Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) for home media. ¶ The voice-enabled EPG allows TV viewers to use simple voice commands to navigate programming. ¶ The voice-enabled EPG is a multimodal (multiple forms of input and output such as speech, keyboard or handwriting) project aimed at increasing awareness in the consumer electronics sector of the benefits of voice-enabled web technologies. ...
