The IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics has published a paper with this title by Tim Laud and Wayne Bretl of Zenith Electronics, Mark Aitken of Sinclair Broadcast Group, and K. Y. Kwak of LG Electronics. From the abstract, "... In this paper, we detail the approach taken which today provides the broadcast industry with a 'breakthrough' 8-VSB receiver product that has 'cleared the bar' of expected performance for the simple consumer-friendly reception of over-the-air digital television in most complex environments. ..."
