The news release, Open Media Network, A Free Consumer Service for Viewing Public Service Content on the Internet, Launched in Public Beta Today, is available at Business Wire, eContent, eHomeUpgrade and on the OMN web site.
Four bloggers have criticized the beta for being Microsoft-centric: OLDaily, PVRblog and SearchEngineWatch and Television Archiving. Be patient. Firefox and Apple support are on their way. Also see Stephen Downes' comment below for clarification on the OLDaily post.

The problem isn't the browser, it's the MS-DRM enabled media player. And the non-support for Linux.
