Open Media Network collaboration with the Publisher initiative

I've been the ad hoc chair of the Public Service Publisher initiative for the past several months and am very pleased to announce a collaboration with the Open Media Foundation in its public beta of the Open Media Network.  OMN provides the core digital distribution technology envisioned for the Publisher initiative.  Content from KQED, WGBH and the stations I manage (Northwest Public Radio and KWSU/KTNW-TV), along with others, will be on the site.

There is an OMN press release about this and I've sent out an announcement to other public broadcasting CEOs around the country.  I'm keeping links to press stories on this on the Publisher initiative's weblog.

The beta currently supports only Internet Explorer on PCs, but Firefox and Apple support is in the works along with several feature enhancements.  I invite readers to check it out.  --Dennis
