Kagan Research, reports the following: "Video-on-demand—which cable sees as a "killer application" against rival satellite TV—is reaching critical mass. At end-Q2 2005, Kagan Research counted 21.2 million digital VOD households, up 45% from 14.6 mil. a year earlier. ¶ Now available in 78% of all digital cable homes, we believe VOD has reached a watershed point as a mainstream service.
