Terry Heaton has another terrific essay in which he argues that broadcasters shouldn't put all their eggs in the on-demand basket. He writes:

Link: Pomo Blog. As an example of local aggregation, check out Nashville Is Talking, an aggregation of some (as I recall) 400 weblogs authored in the Nashville area that's maintained by WKRN-TV. Both the aggregator site and the station site are worth checking out. Wow, talk about local! I couldn't even find a reference to WKRN's network affiliation (it's ABC) on the home page, rather I had to visit the weblog of GM Mike Seachrist to see that (ABC is also identified in its program guide listings, but couldn't make that display with Firefox). --Dennis
