The following has nothing to do with new media technology, but is rather a treat for the readers of this weblog because of that technology. Last night I rediscovered that the BBC has archived some of the lectures which are available online from BBC Radio 4. I'd suggest the first one given by Bertrand Russell in 1948 and the most recent one in 2006 by Daniel Barenboim. There has been one every year since 1948 except for 1992. The lectures are named after John Reith, a Scottish engineer (1889-1971) who became the first general manager of the BBC in 1922. Enjoy. --Dennis
