Well, until August anyway. After that, it will sell for $120, $30 less than the current price Radio Shack's Accurian. Engadget says it's the first $99 HD Radio, but as I recall, Radio Shack briefly had a $99 introductory price on its radio last fall. Here's the press release. I noticed that Ibiquity [the company that invented HD radio] is offering a promo to HD radio broadcasters of various HD receivers [tabletop, component and auto] for $99 each in bulk [4-5 at a time]. These are priced at significantly less than their retail price. The promo is for getting the receivers into the hands of your listeners.
The Sangean component receiver is selling for $300 retail and seems a deal at $99
