For those who aren't obsessive RSS subscribers to and internet surfers of all things public media, it may be of interest that Jim Lehrer responded to the NYT's article (in an interview with the New York Observer) as did Twin City Public Television's General Manager and PBS Board member, Jim Pagliarini. Both responses covered by the Public Media Digest.
